About This Strange Creature

Hello, I’m Adlina and this is my blog. It’s not a very coherent blog, no.  If you’re expecting a blog that were to focus on only one thing, chances you’re in for a disappointment. Primarily because I am a little bit obsessive and I enjoy many, many things and I can’t imagine only blogging on one thing.

But what can you expect here?

I dream of being a mystery writer one day – complete with a curly moustache, port in one hand, egg-shaped head, wait…I’m confusing myself with a certain famous private detective. So there will be short stories, book reviews, all things that I drive inspiration from and unfortunately, most of the times, complaints as I journey towards the completion of my novel. It’s going to happen *cue theme from Rocky*

I love to cook and a firm believer of doing everything yourself – which leads to some mad kitchen experiments. Meatballs, pah, who needs meatballs when you can make your own cheese and cure your own bacon? Should there be a zombie apocalypse, you know where you can get your bacon from. From me. Beef only though.

I’m a geek, please don’t be surprised when I write passionately about fandom in general. I am currently loving Doctor Who, Sherlock, Ashes to Ashes (which has ended already, sniff) and The Closer. I occasionally mention Nurse Jackie, 30 Rock as seriously, some of these guys really inspire me. And I’m shameless in openly professing my love for all things geeky. Even in polite society.

I’m mad, I’m really quite mad, you see? I do mad things generally because I love life very much that sometimes you would see things that most people don’t go through. I will get chased by buffaloes, I’ll get food poisoning on my wedding day and I will make ice-cream on a work night. Not anymore though, since well, I’m a serial dieter and am on a diet (again!).

I sometimes meet mad people as a part of my work, and unfortunately, I don’t blog about it because I feel bad about talking about other people. But sometimes I do, so you never know.
